Northdale Family Fun Fest
Thank you to all who came out for the 2015 Northdale Family Fun Fest in April! The day began at 10:00 a.m., with a parade to kick off the festivities along with the Gaither High School marching band leading the way down Mapledale Drive, then onto the Northdale Park grounds. Adults enjoyed visiting the non-food vendors and learning about new products and services. Children enjoyed games, face-painting, and many other fun activities. See you at the next community event!
The Great American Teach-In
LEE Electric, Inc. participated in the 2010 Great American Teach-In at Walker Middle School in Odessa. The Great American Teach-In began in Hillsborough County about 20 years ago. This event, which celebrates American Education Week, invites community volunteers into the classroom to teach children about their jobs and lives. The program benefits students by allowing them to see role models who share information about jobs and careers, an interesting hobby or personal experience.
"A hundred years from now it will not matter what your bank account was, the sort of house you lived in or the car you drove...but the world may be different because you were important in the life of a child."
Below are cards made from children in past years of participation.
